Kelch UK have supplied a new tool setting facility for JCB engine production in their Foston plant near Derby. The tools are stored, assembled and measured, then transported to the Heller lines using specially designed tool transport trolleys. In addition the very latest in automatic thermal induction shrink tool equipment has also been installed. The Kenova Set line V9 automatic CNC tool presetter is equipped with Balluff, enabling the measured values to be transferred to the machine control securely. In collaboration with Heller Machine Tools in Redditch and Mapal UK in Rugby, we have delivered and advanced solution for the manufacture of engine heads and blocks.
