80 Years of Innovation

With 80 years of continuous innovation, our company, founded in the early 1940s by Friedrich Kelch, has transformed from a small regional business into a globally successful enterprise. Our expanding product range, adapted to the latest technology and evolving market needs, positions KELCH as a leading system supplier across the entire process chain. Our commitment to quality, made in Germany, is evident in our innovative products, and our establishment of KELCH UK over 20 years ago demonstrates our dedication to providing local support to our UK-based customers.

2002

In 2002, KELCH UK was established to provide technical support locally and expand the UK market. The team of specialists, centrally based in Northampton, offered support for the Kelch range throughout the UK and Ireland.

2007

Business expansion in 2007 necessitated a move to a larger facility. The new UK headquarters, situated on the Swan Valley Business Park in Northampton, featured a larger parts store, PC control repair department, showroom, conference facilities, and modern air-conditioned offices. Its proximity to the M1, M6, A34 and A14 provided easy access to major arterial routes to customer sites.

2013

In 2013, KELCH UK partnered with Helmut Diebold GmbH & Co to expand its range of induction shrink and gauging capabilities, offering a full range of equipment for various tooling applications.

2017

The year 2017 marked the launch of the newly designed range of tool presetters, including the flagship Kenova Set Line V9-S range. This range combined tool presetting and measuring technology with automatic nominal length setting of shrink tools.

2019

In 2019, KELCH UK signed a technical partner agreement with TDM Systems GmbH to further expand its total support capability. This partnership allowed Kelch UK to offer a one-stop solution for the shop floor, combining its extensive range with TDM Systems' market-leading tool management software.

2023

Recovery from the tumoil of a global pandemic was fast. As companies returned to work after lock down and with other world events in play, business recovered quickly.

The KELCH UK team remained active in support of our customers and was able to meet the sudden surge in demand.

2025

At the start of 2025, KELCH UK signed a partnership and distribution agreement with CribWise to supply and support UK companies with advanced digital tool inventory management software and vending systems.
