A tool presetter is more than just a measuring device. To manage and relay tool data, the tool presetter becomes a key link in the shop floor data transfer. Connected via a company network or LAN, the presetter collects production requirements and tooling needs. With this information, instructions to the tool crib staff on the requirements for the machine tools are received. Once the tools are assembled and set, the actual measured values are sent to the machine control or written to a data chip.
This process elliminates the human error aspect of manually inputting and allows the presetter to be linked to third party software applications.
We will prepare post processing modules for data links and commission and test on site. These advanced systems can improve productivity and process reliability.
