MoDetec

The MoDetec option is availble on our CNC spindle presetters in all MPS insert formats. The sensor is built into the MPS base unit and the encoder in the MPS insert. This feature is particularly useful when there are a number of different tool shank forms used on the shop floor and the MPS inserts are being switched over frequently. MoDetec provides a process safe measuring feature that prevents tools being measured with an incorrect datum values.

MoDetec is a sensor system that identifies the MPS insert in the spindle automatically. When a tool type change over takes place the MPS insert is changed. MoDetec identifies the new insert and resets the calibrated values in the control to suit. In the tool data base it the control will only display the tools suitable for the new insert.
